Question : Problem: OK to leave USB Flash Hard Drive plugged in?

Just bought one, but it's not clear if it's OK to just leave it plugged into my desktop until I need to take it to somewhere else. Any downside?

Personally I would say NO there is no downside (apart from the possibility you could knock it and damage it if it is protruding from the front of your machine). I have left flash drives in my machine for long periods without harm.

Do remember to stop the flash drive when you eventually remove it to prevent data loss.
