Question : Problem: quad core processor with 4 gigs ram upgrade
i am upgrading my system to a intel quad core 2.2 ghz and 4 gigs of memory. will xp pro 32 bit version see any upgrade to this? i know to get more than 4 gb memory out of 32 bit, id have to switch to 64 bit, but i just dont feel 64 bit is worth upgrading to at the moment, kind of the situation with Vista. anyways, i wanted to know if i upgraded my dual core 2.4 ghz processors to these intel 2.2 quad core processors, if id see a difference in gaming speed and program speed. i know i will see improvement from the 2gb to the 4gb memory because it just speeds everything up. thanks again!
btw im selling a motherboard with dual core processors on ebay and i will sell my old 2 gb memory on there also. heres the auction for the motherboard combo
