Question : Problem: Gigabit not acting as gigabit speed? Whats wrong?
Ive just upgraded my 100mbit to gbit.
I have two computers with gigabit network adaptors upgraded from 100. new gigabit switch with orange lights showing all correct speeds gbit . Checked network speeds all showing gbit, all OK. Router plugged into switch, dont care about that only computer to computer transfer i care about. Tested with 3gig text file transfers across the network. SAME speed as with 100mbit transfer, there doesnt seem to be any improvement in speed whatsoever?? What gives what am I missing, thanks
