Question : Problem: Can a wireless-G repeater be used with a wireless-N router?

Can a wireless-G repeater be used with a wireless-N router?

I have WRE54G and WRT160N products from linksys. They say they haven't tested it so it may or may not work.

Not everyone who comes over has a wireless-N adapter so they are stuck using the low range G. Can I increase the G with that repeater?

Answer : Problem: Can a wireless-G repeater be used with a wireless-N router?

Yes, and you should setup auto mode on router.

If you experienced low range on N, then I guess the N card is not working good. Try other vendor.
