Question : Problem: 5 TB RAID 0 (External 3rd party unit) shows up but won't initialize in disk management

The RAID shows up as a drive waiting to be initialized (4.6 TB in 4K blocks), but when I attempt to initialize the disk, there is a very long wait that culminates in a failure message.
Windows is being less than helpful.
