Question : Problem: Why does my Intel Pro Wireless shutd down due to another LAN utility communicating with it?

I have just installed a Dlink DI-624 wireless router with the WPK2 security enabled.  My machine can access the network and the internet.  After some time, and this is variable, I get a message that another wireless LAN utility is communicating with my LAN adapter (see attached image for complete message).  Pre wireless then shuts down and I loose  connectivity.

I did not receive this error when I was using my Linksys 54G router.  This router died so I got this one.

Currently, I am running NetStumbler and the are times when there is no detectable signal (SNR goes to zero) over the noise.  There are 4 other wireless routers in the area and they are using channels 6,10, 11,11 and I am using channel 1.

Any thoughts as to how/what this utility is that is trying to get into my machine?  Or how I may find out what it is?  Or how to just stop this dropping problem?

THanks for the help

Yes, I agree that there should not be any corelation between WZC and duplicate IP conflict.
How many NIC cards do you have on your machine?

Secondly, check the System Event log for that IP Address conflict event, and get the MAC address of the conflicting NIC.
Then check which NIC adapter has that MAC address.
Ipconfig /all tells the MAC address of all Network adapters in a machine.
