Question : Problem: Problem ejecting or safely removing USB peripherals

Using a Sprint Air Card, flash drive and 160G travel drive to back up files - all devices work fine, problem is I cannot reliably go into the system tray and safely eject or stop the device so that it can be "removed safely."  Devices are not all used at same time, all drivers and devices pass troubleshooting diagnostics, message comes up "device cannot be stopped at this time - please try again later."  An hour later HA! I get the same thing.  This is intermittent - about 30 % of the time it works the first time and the other 70% I get this error message about not being able to stop the device.

Answer : Problem: Problem ejecting or safely removing USB peripherals

To be perfectly honest, I would disable the Write Cachiong on the Flash drive, and the 160gb external HDD, which will allow them to be removed without using the "Safely Removing" icon.....

Device Manager>Disk Drives>Properties>Policies, and select the "Optimize for quick removal".

Then all you have to worry about is your Air Card....Might make life easier for the card to be removed safely...
