Question : Problem: Help me to find a cheap and reliable backup solution

Hi Experts,
I really need your advice..
I am looking for a good backup solution.
Our network has windows 2003 DC and a file server.
We have two LaCie Biggest S2S connected each to primary AD and second server.
All user files are stored in the LaCie HDD attached to the primary server using DFS.
I need to replicate the same data to the second LaCie HDD attached to the second server.
Each HDD capacity is 1 TB.
Some of the folders which i need to take backup has large files and the total capacity is huge...
already used around 150GB for that folder only.
We had Acronis true image license for version 9.I tried backing up the files with this.but the problem of this is,while taking a daily backup, this overwrites the previous backup, which is not acceptable as we cannot retrieve the files accordingly.I wanted to keep the files for 1 week and then archive it.so the backup folder will have always a 7 days backup and a complete backup of 1 week.
I tried using backuppc using Linux, with rsyncd, but i didnt found so user friendly as i am not an expert in linux. :)
I managed to work with backuppc, but the problem it has, that it support linux partitons, not NTFS.
So i was looking for another solution preferrably an opensource with nice GUI.
Our company has a limited budget for backup devices,so i am looking for a backup manager with GUI which does these.
Also i am interested in DROBO with DROBOshare.I need your suggestions,if i can go for DROBO or not.I read somewhere that DROBO can be used with Rsync, but not sure how to.
I know this is a big mail, but tried to give as much details i can.
I need all experts advice in deciding a good backup solution with a limited budget.
Thanks in advance.....
