Question : Problem: HP LJ P2015n error alert indicator and not printing

We have a HP LJ P2015n which has the alert (!) indicator lamp on steady and won't print.
Manual says if lamp on steady then print-toner door is open but it is not.
If the lamp is blinking it is a manual feed or continual error. I have carried out the suggested remedies according to the manual but no improvement.
When I switch off and restart it is a bit noisier than usual while it boots up.
Before I get a service kit can anyone give a definitive view on what the problem might be.

i would check the toner door switch; it may have some debris  causing the open massage
the same goes for inspecting the paper feed path; clean it thoroughly
