Question : Problem: Your USB printing support can perform faster if it is plugged into a high speed port.

On my supervisor's new Dell/Vista machine, he is getting a message that says

"Your USB printing support can perform faster if it is plugged into a high speed port."

Then it shows ports available...

And it makes a recommendation to  - disconnect the 'printing support' from current port and connect it to one of the ports shown in bold...

The two hubs in bold are "usb root hub - 8 ports"
and
"USB Generic - 4 ports"

How do I disconnect and reconnect to one of these? Are these physical or logical ports?

I am confused.

Answer : Problem: Your USB printing support can perform faster if it is plugged into a high speed port.

test the port by plugging in a a usb 2 device recent USB memory sticks are often USB 2.

If that is ok check the printer and see if that is USB2, if it isnt then you will either have to put up wit it or buy a printer with USB2.

I am not aware of a way to disable the message.
