Question : Problem: Arcserve 2000 E3406 Unable to read file. (filename)  EC=Operation aborted.

Guys,

Running arcserve 200 advanced edition, build 1110, nt4 sp6a server.

I get the following error when running backups overnight:

E3406 Unable to read file. (filename)  EC=Operation aborted.

The backups continue but take a lot longer.  I think this is because the filename is so long and with different characters in it.  Anyone got any ideas?

Have not heard of this problem with local backups.
Check to see if it is always with the same files. If it is, the file might be corrupt. In that case try moving the file to a different location and then back it up.
 
Is this a remote backup and you are using the Client Agent, if you are using the Client Agent then try not using it. This is just to help troubleshoot the problem not a solution.
