Question : Problem: HOW DO I RECOVER ALL THE DATA ON THE ABOVE DRIVE,WHICH IS NOW RESPONDING "UNREADABLE"?

the above drive is  almost full to capacity with data. till yesterday i have been reading and writting to it via an external HDD enclosure made by Akasa Intergral. however, after plugging it into my usb port yesterday i am now getting an error message saying Disk Unreadable. There seems to be NO LIFE at all from the drive. I tried to replace it back to its orriginal housing inside my desktop to see if that worked and it did NOT. so practically speaking i just require the means to retrieve all the data from the drive. Perhaps it has lived its full life and will not work again anyway etc? but i still very very much need to retrieve my data. IS THIS AT ALL POSSIBLE?

Try using getdataback to scan the drive. If your data is seen, register it and then you will be able to copy the data off. If getdataback doesn't help, you will need a recovery agency like Gillware.
