Question : Problem: iPhone - Wireless Network Selection
Hi Experts
I have 2 routers setup at my home. The main router is located downstairs (D-Link DIR655) and I have hard-wired my old Netgear WGR614 V6 upstairs as an access point. Both routers are on different channels and SSID's as specified in the Netgear knowledgebase.
My laptops seem to find and select both networks without issue, always opting for the stronger signal out of the 2 (when both are in range) but the iPhone doesn't behave in the same way, often selecting the weaker of the 2 networks. Is there anything I can do to persuade the iPhone to always select the strongest signal?
Answer : Problem: iPhone - Wireless Network Selection
Unless you can find an app that helps somehow, I don't believe there are any settings for that in the iPhone stock OS. I have noticed this also, I'm hoping iPhone 3.0 due out this summer will fix that and group text managment.
