Question : Problem: How can I get administrative access on my MAC?

Hi,

I would like to know how can i get administrative access on my MAC Pro, the school game em this laptop but whenever i want to install a software i will need to go to them to insitall it for me which is annoying.

Now i need to install some plugins for photoshop and I can't, also i can't install any other applications.

Can you please tell me how can I get that access or reset the password or whatever?

Answer : Problem: How can I get administrative access on my MAC?

Boot in single user mode press Cmd-S at startup, after it boots type following commands:

mount -uw /
rm /private/var/db/.AppleSetupDone

and then reboot. If there is an Open Firmware Password Protection (which in my opinion should be) then you should talk to your school where the computer was purchased and installed.
