Question : Problem: How do i sort my songs?

By default my iTunes sorts all my songs by album, but a lot of my songs have incomplete album information.  Does anyone know how to amend this so that iTunes sorts all my songs by artist only?

What version of iTunes?  Which view are you interested in sorting?

I would really suggest that you modify the id tag so it includes the album.  There is a program called Tag&Rename (http://www.softpointer.com/tr.htm) that will make this easy.  Since it can even use the free online database(s) you might be able to get a large amount of them done with no typing at all.  Otherwise it is easy to change a batch of songs (i.e. add same album name to a group of tracks).  There are other programs with similar features but this was the best and my favorite when I researched them a few years ago.  Doing this would fix this issue and improve your mp3s.
