Question : Problem: Is my CRT monitor dead?

Have a 3 year old 21' VeiwSonic Pro Series PF815 CRT monitor.  Previewed a new screensaver last night on Win XP, it played for 10 seconds  then I wiggled the mouse to end it and it started making all sorts of black and grey mush.  I power cycled the monitor on/off and same thing.  Then rebooted and it now has a solid white line down the middle of the screen.  No color just black and the white line.  Hooked it up to a different system and same white line.  Video card is OK - using it on an 15' right now.  Does anybody know if it's fixable or even worth it?  Thanks.

sounds like your horizontal deflection circuitry is bad, try to bang it and see if that helpsbif not then call
viewsonic tech department to see if a warranty is on it they and three + year warranty on it productsyou dont need a receipt just give them the SN # Model # Manuf,Date and they will let you know if you have a warranty then thy will repair it for free
