Question : Problem: How do you set alerts or alarms on a Blackberry Curve?

I have a Blackberry Curve that integrates with my employer's email so I do get calendar updates and email; however, if I set a Task in Microsoft Outlook, I do not seem to get any alert at all on the phone - nothing visual, nothing audible.  I also do not get audible alerts on my Outlook meetings.  How do I make this phone audibly alert me that I have a meeting to go to or a task to be done.

Answer : Problem: How do you set alerts or alarms on a Blackberry Curve?

On your device, go to the "Profiles" icon on the main menu. Scroll down to the bottom, and select "Advanced". Find the profile you like to use (or create your own), and then scroll down the large list of alertable functions. Click on the one you want (task, meeting reminder) and change it from "none" to "tone" or "vibrate and tone".
