Question : Problem: Cannot log into Entarasys switch

i have a entarasys matrix E 1h582-25 switch that I am trying to access and cannot log into. No one knows the username and password in addition I tried to console in using hyperterminal with the setting 9600 8-N-1 with VT100 but this does not work.

Is there something I am missing in the terminal settings
Is there a way to break into the switch and edit the boot code to change the password ala cisco switches.
