Question : Problem: HP Pavilion dv9000 wireless network adapter dissappeared and new onerefuses to load

HP Pavilion running XP media center (yecch) wireless stopped working blue lite does not activate, and in device mngr no wireless adapters appear, even when reloaded thru HP's web site, can connect via LAN, also can use USB wireless adapter just fine, stumped please help

mruft the answer is simple, you need a new mainboard. Its a common issue on this unit, the control fails on the mainboard.
