Question : Problem: Can't use remote desktop with Belkin router
Hi,
I have a Belkin router (F5D6231-4) with a PC running XP professional. I need to connect using Remote Desktop. I am able to do this without a problem when I have the PC connected directly to my ethernet without the router.
I have opened up ports 3389 for TCP and UDP on the router virtual servers to the static IP of my PC, but cannot connect. The windows firewall has the ports open for remote desktop.
I am able to connect with remote desktop from another PC that is part of the router network.
Any ideas what else to try?
Thanks,
Keith
Answer : Problem: Can't use remote desktop with Belkin router
I resolved this by cloning the MAC address of the PC onto the router.
That took care of the issue
Thanks for your help
