Question : Problem: Windows 2000 Setup and AIC-7880 SCSI
|
|
I have an ASUS P2L97-DS motherboard with an integrated SCSI interface by Adaptec. It is an AIC-7880 adapter. I am having problems with an IBM DGHS Ultrastar 9LP SCSI harddrive.
It's listed as a TANDEM 4275-3 device. However, when installing Windows 2000 server, it gives a disk read error 0000BB00 Later in the setup when I am asked to select a drive volume to place 2000 on, it correctly states my host adapter as well as my drive's capacity. But, it can't read from it and generates a STOP error when I try to continue.
Help would be appreciated.

Try a low level format and see if you can get it to kick that way
