Question : Problem: Citrix turning off "client" and "file and print sharing"

I'm running a Citrix Access Gateway strictly for VPN connection to our network for users on laptops.  They are connecting without a problem accessing files and email, however occasionally they have issues printing or browsing the network and every time it is because "client for Microsoft Networks" and "File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks" check boxes are unchecked.  If I try to recheck the boxes I get a message stating the boxes will be unchecked.  I have to uninstall, then reinstall the network adapters and the boxes will remain checked.  It doesn't happen every time they connect, but some users have experienced it multiple times and the users who do not use the citrix have not had the issue...  Has anyone else experienced this?  Is it preventable?  I'm not a citrix expert by any means.
