Question : Problem: Homemade IO punch out, Missing metal IO pannel for motherboard. How do I make one?

How do I make a good, decent template to cover my IO port on the back of the PC. I made the mistake of ordering an open box item and got no IO metal shield, just the mother board. Doh! This is a MSI motherboard Macro ATX form factor.  Any suggestions? Clear tape and tin foil + exacto knife?
