Question : Problem: insufficient runtime

Windows 200 server with APC ups connected displays an intermittent event of Insufficient runtime available.  The ups is about 1 year old and it only powers the server. It is a BackUPS Pro 1000.  How do I clear this error and prevent it from returning?

It all depends on how much run time you're wanting out of the UPS versus how much load you're putting on it.  The stats for the Back-UPS Pro 1000, show a runtime of 15.7 minutes at half load (335 watts), and 5.6 minutes at full load (670 watts).  http://www.apcc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=BP1000I&CFID=19769597&CFTOKEN=76540512

Also - I'm pretty sure this model was discontinued around 2005.  Battery could just be getting old and not holding full charge.  

Either replace the battery on the unit, or look at purchasing a new UPS.
