Question : Problem: packard bell no speaker sound, but have headphone sound
have a packard bell easy note laptop.
running XP.
have no speaker sound but have perfect heahphone sound.
plug in the jack it works perfect pull it out and silence.
done all the usual things, drivers and such.
any suggestions?

This is a bigger plug but the small ones work the same way.
With phones plug is in the disconnect is open circuit to speakers.
When phones plug is out disconnect closed circuit to speakers.
