Question : Problem: Active Sync and Symbol PPT 8800

Hi,

I have a Symbol PPT8800 pocketpc, (windows ce) and I am trying to get it to sync with my pc. The PC has active sync 4.5, and when i try to sync on COM1, I get the following error

Miscrosoft ActiveSync cannot recognize this device for one of two reasons:
The device was not connected properly, To start over, disconnect the cable and remove the device from its cradle. Then, connect the cable to the PC, turn on the device and place the device on the craddle

The device is not a Smartphone or pocket PC, to keep activesync from trying to connect to this orany other device on the port, select the check box below.


Any ideas on this?

remove device

uninstall  AS
Restart

Install 4.2
