Question : Problem: DSL Internet Settings ?
Hello Gurus,
here is my setup.
I have a Win2K3 server with a DHCP & DNS installed on it serving around 40 PCs
my IP range is 15.0.0.100 --> 15.0.0.175 and my server being 15.1.1.1
I have another PC that I have the internet ON (wireless Internet) on which I have 2 NIC.
1 is for my local IP address (15.0.0.100 ) that I have fixed (not served by DHCP and another one that
I have the IP of the internet provider 192.168.0.54
now all my users have a default gateway the IP of that PC (15.0.0.100)
I would like to move the Internet to the server.
is there a better way to do it ?
Answer : Problem: DSL Internet Settings ?
In terms of configuration, a good idea is to separate out your ips by devices etc... for example 15.1.x.x is your servers, 15.2.x.x, printers, 15.3.x.x your workstations.
As for the network config, is there a firewall in this config anywhere?
