Question : Problem: Stop notices on AT&T Tilt

Hi Experts.  Anytime I miss a call, get a new email/message, etc.... this notification comes on and won't go away.  Sometimes the phone will vibrate for minutes until I hit the power button.  I would like to reduce the notifications to just a icon on the phone.  No other alerts or other prompts.  How can I do this?

I believe that if you go to settings -> sounds & notifications panel, you can turn off sounds and vibrations.
