Question : Problem: Quantum Fireballp

When I try and put two hard drives in one computer the computer loads windows from the first harddrive - Maxtor 30768H1 BAC51KJ0 but then the system, before windows is fully loaded, restarts and repeats the process agin and again. The Second hard drive is listed in the boot menu as a Quantum Fireballp AS20.5 A1Y.1500.

I have the correct jumper settings for the first hard drive, the maxtor one but not the second one. I think this may be the problem.

Can anyone find the jumper settings of the Quantum Fireballp AS20.5 A1Y.1500. hard drive?

have you tried wiping the drive using killdisk THEN clean installing XP - in some cases XP spits its dummy out when its being set up on a FAT32 drive (even though its supposed to run quite happily on FAT32)
Download killdisk.exe from http://www.killdisk.com/ and put it on your boot floppy, reboot and type killdisk {enter} at command line.
