Question : Problem: Dell laptop 1100 and 5100 inspiron model?

I have a friend who has a Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop.  14.1 inch LCD Screen.  I have an old Dell inspiron 5100 14.1 inch LCD Screen.  

Her LCD is busted, I was curious as to if the two are cross compatible.  Meaning, can they take out my LCD screen and replace hers?  

It seems like it would work.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
