Question : Problem: HP Smart array 6400 Controller - SCSI Bus Termination Error
I have a HP Proliant ML370 G4 server running Windows Server 2003 SP1. I am trying to attach a Quantum ATL Superloader tape backup unit to the scsi ports on the back of the server. When I try to boot after I connect the device, I receive error "1776 - Slot 1 - SCSI Bus Termination error - Internal and external drives cannot both be attached to the same scsi port. Controller is disabled." If I disconnect the Quantum unit, my server will boot as normal. I've tried updating the firmware for the controller, and still get the same error.

If all you have in the system for a scsi controller is the scsi raid controller, i would suggest adding a scsi controller to the system like a 39160, i do not suggest at all to have a tbu attached to a raid controller, thats just asking for problems.
