Question : Problem: Set Password and Lock Handheld

Hi All,

I needed to stop a user using their blackberry and instead of "erase data and disable hand held" i chose "Set Password and Lock Handheld"

I tested it on my own device first and got the desired result, a blackberry that they cannot log into. A dialog is shown asking Unlock, make an emergency call.

The problem is now the device (mine) prompts me every time to enter the password - i guess i assumed that the password was a one time deal.

BES version 4.1.4.17 and my question is how do I make the blackberry stop asking for the password now?

Answer : Problem: Set Password and Lock Handheld

Hi, to remove the password it has to be done manually on the device.  On new devices this is done via Options > Password > Change Password to Disabled.  On older devices it is done via Options > Security Options > General Settings > Change Password to Disabled.
