Question : Problem: Triple Monitors
At work we have the Dell Optiplex 755 with Radeon x1300/x1550 series graphics card, the computer also has onboard graphics not currently in use. I am running Windows XP SP2.
Currently I have 2 dell 19" monitors connected to the add-in graphics card, at the back of the computer there is a single DVI connection to the card which is a cable that splits to two VGA connectors that lead up to the two monitors, this is how Dell supplied the PC as it was ordered with 2 monitors.
I want to add a 3rd monitor to this setup and seek advice on the best way to do this.
I have tried connecting a 3rd monitor to and additional PCIe card and it works for a while. If I have to hard boot the system, I lose the third monitor and have to remove both cards then boot it back up.
Any ideas on this?
Answer : Problem: Triple Monitors
If you've got both a PCI-e and PCI card, the motherboard may be getting confused because you have onboard video as well. Have you tried onboard video with the PCI card?
