Question : Problem: Treo/Outlook Sync issue

I have a user who has a Palm Treo running windows mobile.  His phone is synced with the exchange server using activsync.  He is complaining that three times now, he has deleted stuff from his inbox on his phone, and when he gets to the office and turns on his computer, his outlook "re-populates" all of the deleted items.  

Is there a common cause for this?

You may want to make sure that there isn't a software update for them. I know Sprint had one but not sure about verizon.  And I can't remember what it was supposed to fix, it may not have anything to do with active sync.
