Answer : Problem: What does a POE adapter exactly do?
POE Stands for Power over Ethernet
It allows you to run a single cable which both sends data AND power to the router in question.
(the unused pairs in a Cat-5e/6 cable)
This is usually a great thing to use in wireless AP's which will be in areas without a wall socket for standard AC plug-ins.
It requires the use of a PoE adapter (which feeds the power on the line) and a PoE capable Wireless router/AP.
