Question : Problem: I have a Dell Latitude D830 and am receiving a NV4_disp infinite Loop error.  Stop error is 0X000000EA.

I have attempted to install the latest drivers based on what the Dell website is saying to use, however that makes it even worse, and I am forced to start up in Safe Mode and re-instate it to the last known operational installation.

Any ideas...I'm concerned that the video card itself is fried.  The machine works, but it seems to set off this error if I am on the web and I scroll down to look at anything or watch a video...or skype with a webcam.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Answer : Problem: I have a Dell Latitude D830 and am receiving a NV4_disp infinite Loop error.  Stop error is 0X000000EA.

Go to the device manager, and uninstall the NVidia Video Card.

Go to the Add/Remove programs, and see if there are any further NVidia drivers to remove, and do so if you find any.....

Reboot the machine.

Cancel the Add New Hardware Wizard.

Rename the file nv4_disp.dll to nv4_disp.old , should be in c:\windows\system32

Reindtall using Dell's latest driver package.

Reboot, then retest.....
