Question : Problem: Newly built system - catch 22?

I'm trying to load up my newly built computers operating system. Unfortunatley my cd rom drive will not operate intil you load its driver ... which won't load without an OS ... get my dilema?!
I'm trying to load up windows 98 on cd.
my driver for my cd-rom is on floppy.
added dilema: I also want to pick up Linux as a second OS. I heard I need to load it in after windows, (I havent bought it yet), so what do I need to do to get up and running and how does this duel boot system affect me from getting up and running?!
Thanks, RAD

Answer : Problem: Newly built system - catch 22?

Ding ding ding - the bells have rung and the answer is here!

My friend with a non-chalant attitude whips out the following line of DOS:

CD E:SETUP

now I tried setup And I tried E:setup
but never did I try CD E:setup !!!!
he did use his own boot disc, so unless my boot disc was bad this is what helped it finally load windows98 !!

Your the experts, so you should know wheter or not typing CD in front of E:Setup would've mattered at all. If it did not matter then the obvious choice was my boot disc was bad.
So my hats off (and points)to following experts for their comments:
