Question : Problem: Mode not supported when using TV as Monitor. Had to disable graphics card

I have been through the similar problems to mine that are listed here and none of them have worked. My problem is that i have been using my Samsung LCD TV LE32R88BD as a monitor for 12 months with my old PC that had a Geforce 128 graphics card. It was great with a crystal clear picture. I have up graded my PC to a Q6600 intel chip and Geforce 8500 GT 1Gb card. When I plugged the VGA cable in I got the error message "Mode not supported". I have tried all the screen resolutions right down to the 16 color ones at 50Hz but it still wont kick in after the Window XP screen. I have downloaded the latest drivers from Invidia and tried to find a driver for the TV but i couldnt find one. I plugged the PC into the TV with a HDMI cable but the picture is terrible. Icons appear rough and slightly blurry. I can adjust the resolution but the screen seems quite "Bitty" I tried it on a normal (CRT) PC screen and it was clear again. I also tried it on a Pianeer plasma and again it seemed very clear. I have finally disabled the graphics card and I have managed to get a nice clear picture on 32 bit 1024x768 (60hz) but its slow to refresh and the screen refreshed from the bottom up with lines. I am completely at a loss now. To recap. Old PC works with the VGA cable and is clear. New PC gives MODE NOT SUPPORTED HDMI Cable on new PC works But the picture is grainy and bitty Latest drivers for card installed from Nvidia website. Have disabled the card to get a nice clear but slow to refresh picture Cannot seem to get into Safe mode by F8. Motherboard is ASrock 4core 1600P35-Wifi Graphics card is Geforce 8500 GT 1 Gb PCI Express Chip is Core (TM) 2 Quad 2.4 Ghz 8MB 1066 FSB 2 Gb RAM

Thankyou. I have this evening reloaded all of the original (Old drivers) on to my sysyem and it seems to now work. Just one of those things I guess. Thankyou for your input, it seems this time the answer was simple but unexpected.
