Question : Problem: SAMSUNG 1701MP Monitor on Nvidea NVS 280 DMS 59 to dual VGA
This Samsung monitor has a basic VGA cable and upon booting in Windows regular mode, it states in a floating samsung display "Video Mode Not Supported".
The NVIDEA card has a DMs59 to dual VGA cable...no other connections.
I can boot into Safe Mode, but trying to install the Monitor driver in Safe mode, I cannot select the NVIDEA card from a pull down menu to attach the monitor to. The drop down is empty. Safe Mode shows a VGA compatible video card.
Any ideas?
Fresh install of Windows XP Pro SP3.
Answer : Problem: SAMSUNG 1701MP Monitor on Nvidea NVS 280 DMS 59 to dual VGA
It's not an onboard card. The video card works fine when attached to other monitors.
The monitor works fine if a basic card with DVI or VGA adapter is used.
I'm going to install the monitor driver while it's on another monitor...see what flies.
