Question : Problem: NOT using GPRS, EDGE, 3G on iPhone

Hi.

I bought an iPhone 3G recently, but i DON'T want to use EDGE, GPRS, or 3G for my internet connections... that is, i want the iphone to use Wifi, and Wifi only... if there is no wifi signal, not to use internet at all.

Is there a way to deactivate those connection on the iphone settings?

Answer : Problem: NOT using GPRS, EDGE, 3G on iPhone

Go to Settings --> General --> Network -->
Turn off "Enable G3"
Turn off "data roaming"

I think that is all you can do on the phone.

You could use an older SIM that doesn't support data but that is just a guess I don't know if that will even work in an Iphone.
