Question : Problem: Apple iphone will not work with exchange 2003 sp2

I am attempting to get an apple iphone to work with exchange 2003 SP2.  It will attempt to connect but is never successful.  Looking in the IIS logs on the server I see the following error associated with the username of the users attempting to connect

401 Unauthorized (client err)

I reset the mailbox rights for the user in question and the connection worked for about 12 hours and then stopped working again.  

Any ideas?
