Question : Problem: Virus clean up

Hi All,
I have a problem on one servers on my sites, It is infected with "W32.Linkfars". Whenever I login in it shows me a message saying that it is cleaned by deletion. But I was wondering if it cleaned why is it showing all the time and every 5 minutes it pops up and shows again. I have also scanned the whole server and it tells me the same thing cleaned by deletion. Can anyone advice me on this and give a solution as how to delete this permanently from the server and clean up. I am using Symantec Antivirus, and the latest update which is shown in 30.5.2008. Please advice on this.

Answer : Problem: Virus clean up

when a virus is activated in normal mode, no anti-virus can remove it completely because the files are in use and cannot be deleted.
to avoid this situation the best method is to boot your machine in safemode, and run an updated virus scan there, as the virus doesn't get activated under safemode.
