Question : Problem: synchronise files between to very remote servers
|

We have an issue that Im hoping somebody can help me with.
We have an issue that Im hoping somebody can help me with.
We have a file server in New York, and we are going to buy another in Hong Kong. We want the files on both servers to be mirrored. So if we update or add a file in New York, then that change should be found on the Hong Kong server.
The reason we are doing this is because the performance of accessing a file from one site to the other is terribly slow.
We are trying to find some software that will automate this. The software will probably need to compress the files so that when it performs the mirroring, it does so as fast as possible,
Can anybody recommend any software?
We currently have 121,846 files on the NY server that will be mirrored on the Hong Kong server. The number of files added, changed daily is about 300
Thanks

My preference is Syncback SE, low cost, compression and easy setup. I've gotten servers setup to backup (or sync) 1 x hourly to one location, 1 x daily to another location and 1 x weekly to a third location in about 20 mins WITH compression and intelligent syncing... Download the trial for a windows application that is bullet proof.
