Question : Problem: Gateway 450sx4 display gone haywire

Hey, I have a Gateway 450SX4 laptop.  Recently the display just went crazy.  It seems to happen when the computer is moved in any way.  It starts out blurred and liney and then usually goes to all vertical lines in multitudes of colors.  Moving the screen changes the display, so it seems like it's in the LCD somewhere.  Someone said it is probably the video card, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.  Any help would be appreciated.

to test and see if its the video card or lcd attach an external monitor and press the fn+ crt/lcd buttons, and see if the issue occurs on the external monitor if so than its more likely a video card issue if not then ans lcd issue. If it doesnt happen on the external display try reseating the lcd cable. if that fails it may be a bad lcd or lcd inverter. If it does happen on the external monitor it would be a video card problem and i belive that system has an integrated graphics card meaning the entire motherboard would need to be replaced.
