Question : Problem: problem with pavilion xt963 , i need help urgent

i was going to up grade to xp pro , i put the cd on the drive , reset the pc for the instalation to begin and sudenly the pc went off after de blue screen of HP , now it just turn on for a few seconds and it goes off againg , i need this pc working at least with the original OS ,

try reseating the memory, cpu, and power connection...if that doesn't do it, and you have stripped the system down like I explained, you probably have one of a few things:
bad motherboard
bad memory
bad cpu
bad power button/reset button
(can't be a bad power supply because you have already tried a known good)
