Question : Problem: Can't Adjust Screen Resolution
|
|
For a Dell Inspiron 8100 with an NVideo video card, when I attempt to adjust the screen resolution to anything lower than the max resolution of 1600X1200, the size of the video displayed on the laptop monitor gets smaller and does not fill the screen. I have tried reinstalling the video driver and this does not help.
Suggestions please!

Answer : Problem: Can't Adjust Screen Resolution

First, try pressing Fn and F7 together.
If that doesn't work, do the following:
- Go to Start > Settings, and then click Control Panel, - Double-click on the Display icon, - Go to the Settings tab, - Then click the Advanced button, - Click the 'TwinView' tab, - Click the' Device Settings' button and then click 'Screen Adjustment', - Select the radio button next to 'Use display adapter scaling' and then click the 'Apply' button.
The screen should now stretch over the whole LCD.
Hope this helps! :o)
