Question : Problem: LG GSA-4167B DVD Writer Drive

Hi

I have just installed the LG GSA-4167B Drive, but am having some problems buring DVD-R's, in fact the drive won't recognise them! I bought Memorex DVD-R 16X Discs. I read that the firmware has to be updated for 16X discs so have done so to DL12 from LG's site but still no luck.

I tried the discs in another drive in another pc and they work fine.

I have also tried buring Memorex CD-R and they work fine.

Is it something i am doing wrong?

Have you tried the DVD Burner into a Different Computer and see if it works there, if not
its a possbility that you could have a Bad DVD Burner
