Question : Problem: need to use recovery partion on hard drive, no manuf recovery disk available      [xp media edition]

customer has a e machine t5048   p4 desktop [xp media edition]
hard drive corrupted
he very cleverly lost the recovery disk from e machine
there is a recovery partition on the drive,
every time I try to access it, it just says put in recovery cd
when I talked to e machine they said it's over a year old and we're not goiing to tell you how to fix it or refer you to a site for info

emachines basically use a ghost image, their CD basicly runs the client and installs the image. Try usuing symantec ghost client (free to use client) and point it to the recovery partition.
