Question : Problem: Max drive size on DL380 G2

I have a couple of DL380 G2 servers. They currently have drives ranging up to 36.4 GB. Is that the largest they can use? If not, what is the largest. I have looked on the HP website, but have not been able to find the specs for the max size of the disks. Oh! They are still running the 5i RAID controllers.

Answer : Problem: Max drive size on DL380 G2

HP site hard to find but google for "dl380 g2" + "quickspecs" and it is first hit...

http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/10902_div/10902_div.html - only lists 146.8GB

I don't see why you can't use 300GB U320 disks though since they are supported as per the compatibility table at ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/servers/proliantstorage/drives-enclosures/hotplug.pdf - probably the quickspecs are out of data and haven't been updated.
