Question : Problem: EXCALIBER GEFORCE2 MX400 AGP  to dark

I have a PINE TECHNOLOGY (PVT07G-CT)
EXCALIBER GEFORCE2 MX400 AGP 64
NVIDIA GEFORCE2 W/TV video card.  How do I adjust
the brightness?

This solution is driver dependant, I am currently on Nvidia's Detonator 21.85 which is old now but works great.

Right here's how (since I have an OLD OLD OLD Proview 770 monitor thats really dark :)

go into display properties from Control Panel or desktop whichever.

Goto Settings tab and click advanced.
Now heres the wierd bit....

Select the twinview button
The monitor may blink, this is not a problem.

click device settings and select colour correction from the drop down menu.

There you will be presented with a set of slider controls for Contrast, Bright , Gamma and some other bits you may want to try.
Remember to tick the always use box, and save your settings with a suitable name.
